What motivated you to start the business?

Having worked as a front office staff at Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra, I realized the high rental rates (mostly in USD) that car rental operator charges at the hotel. Most guests complained about the high price and poor customer service, therefore I contacted a few friends who had other cars that were not in daily use to rent to me at a lower price. I added a reasonable margin then rented it on to the customer at a rate lower than the going rate at the hotel thereby making money for the car owner and giving the client lower rates (a win-win).

 Advice to young upcoming entrepreneurs

My advice is that sustainable growth takes time so don't give up when the going gets tough. Time gives you a better understanding of your industry and experience. Also, give attention to personal development to be an effective and efficient leader for your team.

How has the funding received from the program helped your business?

The funding received enabled us to purchase a Hyundai Tucson mini SUV. This additional vehicle has increased our fleet as well as revenue. We are most grateful for the timely support.
