The Inclusive Banking Department is the lead provider of banking services to the mass market in Ghana.
Our strategy focuses specifically on an innovative account- the Smart Account, and an innovative sales and distribution strategy, with the use of high-end technology.
We have seen a lot of changes and learnings over the past 5 years. Chalking a success of over 300,000 Smart accounts and providing financial literacy in all the three northern regions of the country, including some outskirts of the Central and Greater Accra regions as well.
We work closely with the Agency Network team and the Strategic Partnership team on driving the agenda of financial Inclusion and bringing banking to the doorsteps of our customers. We have worked on quite a number of projects with donor agencies like the World Bank, Care International, GIZ, IFC, USAID and UCDF mobilizing over six million Ghana cedis, as raw deposit for the Bank.
Inclusive Banking department now has two other products in addition to the Smart Account i.e. The Smart Goal account and Yello Save.
With just a valid national ID card, and a minimum operating balance of GHS 20 potential customers can be on-boarded and enjoy other exciting benefits as well i.e. access to mobile banking, a Visa card, the branch network and the Agent network channel.
