Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited, reigning CIMG Bank of the Year for 2014 on May 15

joined the Tema SOS Village to Mark the 2015 World Family Day, an annual event proclaimed by the UN General Assembly to reflect the importance international communities attach to families.

The event was held on the premises of the SOS Children’s Village in Tema, where Fidelity Bank Ghana limited announced their commitment to continuously supporting the village as they have done over the past 8 years.

Speaking at the event, Susan Appau - Head of Services and NPO's said, “One of our core values as an indigenous bank is to serve and touch lives in the Ghanaian Community in which we operate. We pledge our commitment to supporting the children in the village as part of our contribution to social development.”

Fidelity Bank has adopted a house at the SOS Children’s Village. Named after the Bank, “Fidelity House” is a home to about 8 children and the bank gives 15,000 Ghana Cedis annually for the children’s upkeep in addition to visiting them regularly. In the coming months, children of the home will visit Fidelity Bank, tour the environment and learn more about banking operations.

Addressing the gathering, Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana OyeLithur, lauded Fidelity Bank and other Corporate Institutions for their endless support to the Villages.

The SOS Children’s Villages Ghana is the local branch of an International Child Welfare Organization that provides safe, stable homes, and loving families for abandoned, vulnerable, and destitute children.
